Finally, with a bit of help from a gang of pickpockets, they spend Christmas with the Marrington family and the play ends with a happy Victorian Christmas, carol singing and mince pies.

Simple piano accompaniment with opportunity for harmonies, carol singing, recorders and percussion. Set : On the Docks; in the Workhouse; the Marringtons' living room at Christmas time.
