Large Mixed Cast
The Night Dwellers presents the struggle between the proletariats and the bourgeoisie

Jegbonran, Oge and Lara represent modern day freedom fighters

The play is set in an indigenous Africa community and begins with a celebration in the palace

During this celebration we are introduced to Lyaloja, who stands as the representative of the King to the marketers

He has enormous authority, which cannot be questioned by the marketers

Jegbonran sees this as an act of oppression and will do anything to get the marketers on his side to stop an atrocity being committed by Lyaloja and the palace

Jegbonran has Lara and Oge on his side to carry out this task

In the midst of incessant raid by the Wolewole - the King's soldiers - the marketers need to be convinced to stand against the oppressive nature of the land
