Gayle and Martyn Walsh are preparing a sophisticated dinner for Ray and Sheila Gibbon, who have agreed to buy their house. Gayle is nervous because the sale could fall through. Meanwhile, on the other half of the stage, we see the action in the Gibbon's house, as Ray and Sheila bicker in their robust fashion, getting ready for their call on the Walshes. Smoking a joint, Ray is cool, his only care being the fake survey he has prepared suggesting the house has serious structural damage requiring ten grand to be knocked off the asking price. But then, as the action alternates between the two locations, things begin to go very wrong...
