Parallel Lines - A Piece of Music-theatre

Each contrasting scene illustrates that what may appear trivial to one may be vital to another; each story has its antithesis; each runs on Parallel Lines.

Cast : 17 main speaking parts (6 m, 7 f, 4 variable) + 34 minor roles (variable m/f); doubling is possible. Suggested Age Range : 11 upwards. Running Time : 80 minutes. Music : 12 numbers: solos, choruses and choreography; contemporary styles. Accompaniment by piano or, ideally, by keyboards and small band. Set : Open and flexible - works well in the round. Can be done simply - with lighting and props - but there is scope to be more ambitious.
