In this gentle, sensitive comedy, June is a middle-aged widow who keeps a diary in the form of private conversations with her late husband. Her stepdaughter Pauline is determined to keep an eye on her, as is her husband's ex-colleague, Sam, but June strikes out on her own and befriends lonely Duggie. It is not long until she discovers that everyone seems to have their own hidden agenda.
