Synopsis

Girl Before The Radium Tattoos

Beth Blair

Published by Cyberpress

1 Male 7 Female

Whenever we focus on women of science and their persistence, Marie Curie presents a timeless inspiration for young girls everywhere

At the end of her life her fingertips showed the marks of burns from her many years working with radium

But even before she was scarred by these radium tattoos, as a young girl, Maria Curie exhibited a rare passion and stubborn courage

Girl Before the Radium Tattoos imagines Maria living with her sisters in Russian-occupied Warsaw

It's based on a true incident when she participated in a fiery classroom showdown with a Russian inspector sent to her school to catch Polish sympathizers

The encounter is presented here in one-act
