A One-Act Musical Play set in the Fannin Street Cafe in the black section of Shreveport, Louisiana

It's 1957 and proprietors MABEL and SAM are trying to close early because a storm is brewing

Suddenly two White Folk hurtle into the room

The man - NIGEL - carries a guitar case

He's an Englishman come to research Folk music in Louisiana

With him is LUANN, his guide to the state

For the next hour or so these four characters argue, joke, sing, and tell stories

And eventually reach an understanding and a friendship over a surprisingly shared bit of history
