Bread and Roses is Paul Laverty's third collaboration with director, Ken Loach. In this extremely powerful screenplay Laverty explores with great clarity the most marginalised of LA communities taking on their corporate bosses against all odds. Tipped for numerous awards, his perceptive writing creates a moving and emotionally charged contemporary tale. Filming exclusively in the US and South America Loach moves outside his traditional turf and creates a stronger film for it.
