About being divorced, being single again, and finding one's self. Linda in publishing; Richard, swinging stockbroker; and Mike, airline pilot, all divorced pool resources to rent a large, Manhattan apartment

But when Mike has to leave, Richard reluctantly invites old friend George in to share. George dull, dreary, hen pecked about to be divorced by his rich, domineering wife Joyce makes an unwise pass at Linda a judo pupil resulting in a fall giving him amnesia

All he remembers are the numbers in his life. Richard and Linda decide to let him stay on and they'll create for him a new, more palatable identity. In two months George is a new person. His memory could return anytime then what?

Linda's fallen in love with her Galatea. She plans a second month anniversary party that's delightful until Joyce enters wanting George back until Mike returns wanting Linda until George's memory returns until Richard sews up a plausibly happy ending
