Synopsis

Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol

Lee Wilson from Charles Dickens

Published by Cyberpress

Large Mixed Cast

"Charles Dickens" himself takes us through this new adaptation of one of the greatest Christmas stories ever told

The author has endeavored to create a version that is true to Dickens' original story and one that is catered towards non-traditional proscenium theatre spaces

Although, this version works beautifully on those as well. The author had yet to find a version of Dickens' masterpiece that satisfied him as a director. Having returned from Dublin, Ireland, and working on several new Irish world premieres, the author was inspired to create this version for themselves

This version matters because it offers a script that is for the modern actor and the modern audience; the running time for this performance should be around an hour long

This gives producers and theatres the option to maximize the number of performances during the holiday season and encourages audiences of all ages to attend. In addition, this offers opportunities for modern casting and flexibility in the number of actors needed for the production
