A satire of modern business practices - set in ancient times aboard the ship Argos as it traverses the Mediterranean Sea after Jupiter sinks the island of Atlantis

Slave revolts, dock strikes, and other catastrophes prevent the Argos docking anywhere

The known world is controlled by three greedy CEOs, assisted by Sterculinus, a lawyer, and Petronius, a blind accountant, encouraged by Luciana, Goddess of questionable business practices, and discouraged by Diogenes

The final stop is Lake Avernus, near the entrance to Hades, where those onboard learn their fate from the Lackey - now revealed to be Charon
