Synopsis

Echoes - Fall of '38

Jane Prendergast

Published by Cyberpress

2 Male 2 Female

What do you do when your god turns against you?

It's 1938, and the Communist Party is ignoring the desperate voices pleading to increase the immigration quotas so Jews can escape from Nazi Germany.

Remain faithful, and find explanations, like Robert Cohen, the Communist Party secretary?

Or turn back to your childhood faith like his wife, Judith?

Perhaps you would coccoon yourself in hopelessness, like their son, Michael, who was crippled fighting in the Spanish Civil War.

The Cohen family is mired in confusion, until Hannah, a 19 year old refugee from Germany arrives and becomes the catalyst for change.
