Vi Davies suffered a stroke one year ago and devoted son Howard gave up his college course to nurse her. Vi is now fully able to look after herself but cannot let go of her son. Howard finds the situation extremely difficult, particularly as he is secretly gay and has been seeing Bernard, Vi’s insurance agent, for some time.
