Synopsis

Amelia's Nocturne

Chris Wind

Published by Cyberpress

0 Male 1 Female

A feminist monologue (dramatic, 25 mins) to be co-ordinated with live music (piano and voice) ...

Amelia is a fictional 19th-century composer who has been banished to the attic on doctor's orders (no stimulation, especially no access to her piano) for hysteria (she burst into tears at a concert, in part because she was not being taken seriously as a composer)

The music can be heard and a workshop performance of this one-woman monologue can be seen at http://www.chriswind.net
