All the Wealth One Needs is based on A Thousand and One Arabian Nights. This story within a story tells how a young woman's courage and intelligence saves the day

East or West, Home Is Best is a Swedish tale of a haunted wood inhabited by a smorgasbord of trolls, witches and other forest creatures

The Great Bear of Orange is a tale of romance from ancient Ireland in which a young girl must undergo perilous trials in order to come of age

All of these plays have received multiple public productions by children from the MetaStages Theatre Centre, an outreach program of the School of Theatre at Penn State University

They require cast sizes 14-26 with many flex-gender roles and female heroines. Simple production values suitable for stage or classroom
