Throughout her life, Sojourner Truth came upon injustice and fought it with uncommon clear-sightedness, courage, and wit.
“A Woman Called Truth” combines her actual words with authentic slave songs, spirituals, and fold songs of the period. It has been honored by the National Endowment for the Arts, the IUPUI Children’s Theatre Symposium, and the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.
